Concurrent Session: Diligent Course: AI Ethics and Board Oversight

Making sound, ethical decisions on artificial intelligence (AI) for your organization is imperative. This Diligent certification partial-program helps board members and executives navigate the ethical and technological issues inherent in AI, so you can steer your organization toward sustainable, trustworthy practices. The session features a panel discussion with expert speakers on AI, law and cybersecurity combined with an AI ethics thought experiment designed to help you put what you learn to the test. This session on executive compensation, CEO succession and human capital oversight, counts as a course towards the Diligent Institute Human Capital, Compensation & Culture Certification. Topics will include executive compensation strategies, CEO hiring, evaluation, and succession planning, with a focus on balancing competitive pay with responsible risk management. In the second half, participate in a thought experiment where you’ll navigate a simulated board scenario involving CEO missteps, performance issues, and talent retention challenges.
