HOTEL PARKING FEES
Valet parking at the Fairmont is $78 per night (plus 14% occupancy tax). Public parking is also available starting at $24 per hour with no in-and-out privileges.

What are the Registration Hours?
Pick up your badge at the registration area during the following hours and locations:
Wednesday, November 12: 5:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. (Tonga Room, Terrace Level)
Thursday, November 13: 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Mezzanine Level)
Friday, November 14: 7:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. (Mezzanine Level)

How can I access the Attendee Directory and Agenda?
To review the full Convening schedule and begin connecting with fellow participants in advance, download the Whova event app.
Open the Whova app and sign in using the email associated with your Convening registration. (If you have not yet downloaded Whova, you may do so here.)
Select LCDA’s 10th Annual Board Leaders Convening.
Navigate to:
Agenda to view session times, speakers, room locations, and add sessions to your personal schedule.
Attendees to see who is registered, browse by organization or industry, and send messages directly through the app.
How do I sign up for the Diligent Board & Governance Certifications?
Attendees who wish to participate in the Diligent Board & Governance Certifications may do so by attending the certification session during the Convening. A sign-in sheet will be provided in the room. As a reminder, participation in one of the live sessions will complete 25% of that specific certification. To receive credit and continue with the remaining modules online, attendees must ensure they sign in during the session.
Can I bring a guest to social events?
The Convening is at capacity so we can no longer accept any additional guests for sessions or social events.
What should I wear?
Welcome Reception: Smart Casual – Think polished yet relaxed attire.
Convening Sessions: Business Casual – Professional yet comfortable attire to keep you focused and ready for engaging discussions.
Corporate Visionary Awards Reception: Business or Cocktail Attire – A more formal look for this celebratory evening; suit jackets, dresses, or cocktail attire are encouraged. Please note that the CVAs will be hosted on the Rooftop Garden, which takes place both indoors and outdoors, so we recommend dressing accordingly for cool weather.
Are meals provided with my registration?
Breakfast and Lunch buffets will be provided to all attendees as well as coffee breaks.

For the Corporate Visionary Awards Reception (Thursday Evening): This year’s event format has changed from previous years: Food stations and beverages will be provided, but there will no longer be a formal seated dinner.

Will there be opportunities for me to connect with members in my area and/or industry?
Yes, during our networking breakfasts. On Thursday, November 13, the breakfast will be led by our Member Engagement Committee and attendees will be grouped by geographic region. On Friday, November 14, the breakfast will center on industry-based networking.
Will there be anywhere to network with fellow members during the Convening?
Yes. Take advantage of Cafecito & Conversations by Diligent lounge. Open throughout the Convening in the Grand Ballroom Lounge, this enhanced networking space, presented by Diligent, this year’s Emerald Sponsor, offers a dedicated setting for meaningful conversations and curated connections. Whether continuing a discussion from a session, meeting with corporate partners, or exploring new collaborations, the Lounge serves as a central hub for dialogue and engagement throughout the Convening.
If I have to take a personal meeting or call, where do you recommend I find a quiet place to take my call in private?
In the The Fairmont San Francisco lobby, there are many places to take a phone call and staff can direct you to those locations. If you need total privacy, we suggest you take the call in your hotel room.
Is there a room block for the event?
Our room block is officially closed, please contact the hotel directly if you need accommodations.

Important Travel Advisory
Please be advised that the ongoing government shutdown may result in travel delays, particularly at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and Oakland International Airport (OAK).
To help ensure a smooth arrival, we recommend:
Allowing additional time for check-in and security screening, as wait times may be longer than usual.
Confirming your flight status directly with your airline before departing for the airport.

Planning ground transportation in advance, as traffic and rideshare demand may be elevated during periods of travel disruption.
What if I need to cancel my Convening registration?
Tickets purchased more than 30 days prior to the event may be cancelled and are subject to a $200 administrative fee.
Cancelation requests must be submitted in writing by October 12. 2025, to be eligible for a refund.
Registration made within 30 days of the event are non-refundable.
What if I need to cancel my hotel reservation?
Hotel room cancellations must be done directly with the hotel.
