LCDA's 10th Annual Board Leaders Convening: Modern Governance in a New Era brought together directors, executives, CEOs, and corporate for three days of high-impact programming, strategic dialogue, and community-building. Marking a decade of leadership and progress, this year’s Convening offered our most comprehensive agenda to date, with sessions spanning governance in the modern era, AI’s influence on board leadership, shifting market dynamics, and the evolving expectations of directors.
This Convening also introduced several important firsts, including the debut of Board Insights, the launch of the 2025 Chair’s Award, expanded governance certifications through Diligent, and a new emphasis on holistic leadership, underscored by a featured session on sleep as a performance strategy.
A Decade of Leadership and a New Chapter of Impact
This milestone Convening opened with new opportunities for connection and engagement, reflecting LCDA’s commitment to cultivating a powerful peer network. Attendees took advantage of expanded networking breaks, regional breakfasts, and the Cafesito and Conversations with Diligent lounge, while the adoption of the Whova app enabled members to connect and coordinate before arriving onsite.
A major highlight was the unveiling of LCDA’s Board Insights during Ozzie Gromada Meza's CEO Address, a data-driven examination of Latino representation, board composition, and performance indicators across Fortune companies, setting the tone for conversations on governance readiness, talent, and long-term strategy.
