About

Who We Are

The Latino Corporate Directors Association (LCDA) brings together accomplished and respected Hispanics/Latinos in corporate leadership and corporate governance committed to paying it forward. Our mission is to develop, support, and increase the number of US Hispanics/Latinos on corporate boards. LCDA's strategy to accelerate Hispanic/Latino placements on corporate boards is focused on three areas: grow demand, grow supply, and raise awareness. LCDA serves as an advocate and resource to corporate boards, search firms, private equity, and institutional investors interested in gaining access to exceptional Hispanic/Latino board talent. Together with our foundation (LCDEF), our program areas also focus on growing the supply of high-caliber boardroom candidates and providing quality corporate governance programming for experienced and aspiring directors.

LCDA envisions achieving an inclusive and equitable representation of US Hispanics/Latinos in corporate America and on their boards. To that end, we are at the forefront in preparing Latinos for board service and promoting them onto boardrooms. LCDA members occupy more than 30% of the board seats held by Latinos on Fortune 1000 companies. We have more than 250 members who hold seats on publicly traded and privately held boards including Target, HP, Ford Motor Company, CBS, Honeywell International, Southwest Airlines, Levi-Strauss, Bank of America, Ryder, AutoZone, Archer Daniels Midland, and Cinemark, to name a few.

Currently, LCDA offers two membership categories, Director and Executive, and provides services and programming that empower Hispanic/Latino directors and aspiring directors to lead with confidence and excellence in the boardroom.

What We Do

LCDA serves as a resource to corporate boards, search firms, private equity, and institutional investors interested in gaining access to exceptional Latino board talent.

Our program areas focus on growing the supply of high-caliber boardroom candidates and providing quality corporate governance programming for experienced and aspiring directors. We focus on three strategic areas:
  • Grow the Demand: Increase the number of board searches in which US Hispanic/Latino candidates are considered, included, and selected for board seats.
  • Grow the Supply: Surface and prepare the the next bench of Latino directors and increase, convene, and engage LCDA members.
  • Raise Awareness: Produce original research, reports, and engage media to increase exposure of LCDA and status of US Hispanics/Latinos on boards.
